Now That Anthony Weiner Has Confessed, Can We Put a Sock on It?

Hatched by Dafydd

The non-stop coverage, I mean. Or am I the only person in America who is tired of having Weiner shoved down my throat?

All right, already; Weiner's toast. Can't we let the whole sordid thing deflate a bit now?

"Move on" to the Boehner jokes in the future.

"Move on" to the Boehner jokes in the future.

Well, except that it rhymes with saner, container, and half-gainer -- not loaner, moaner, or dethroner.

To paraphrase Aleister Crowley, "I pronounce it Baner, to remind you that I'm saner; you pronounce it b---r, for you're such an awful moaner."

(Crowley's was, "I pronounce it Kro-lee, to remind you that I'm holy; my enemies say Krau-lee, for they wish to treat me foully.")

But, but - this is important, Dafydd! What do you want to talk about? That boring Long War stuff?

I should have mentioned that the pronunciation of Boehner was disappointing when I learned it (back when he got became the Speaker), but it's really no hindrance to making puns. You just have to wear the right expression on your face when pronouncing it correctly.
