We Win, They Lose Inc.
Patrick Ruffini has a cool new site called We Win, They Lose. (The line is taken from Ronald Reagan's well-known description of his basic strategy for dealing with the Soviets.)
He has a petition up that I just signed, and I think you all should, too. So there.
Ruffini graciously allows us bloggers to embed the petition in our own blogs. Everyone who signs through Big Lizards earns us "credit," though I'm not sure towards what; I'm hoping there's a free lunch at Souplantation in here somewhere, but it might just be towards getting a little silver star on my permanent record.

This petition is to the point and not at all complex. Sometimes the simplest, most straightforward message is what we need to send to domestic and foreign opponents both. Too many of us have either been courting defeat with hyper-negative angst over the details and daily changing “overviews” of our wars and administration’s efforts or intentionally compromising our chances in current wars and any efficacy of this WH.
Why do millions of us critics think we can’t “win” until we all agree upon a nuanced definition of “victory” and the precise “strategery” to achieve it (of course subject to change upon new news cycles, as always), and why do millions of those other critics think we shouldn’t even try to “win,” because any consequence of our quitting the fight is worth their lust for power and/or exposing us as imperialist-bushie-christofascist-zionist-democapitalist bullies who should be doing universal healthcare and environmental-energy greening for all Americans and Africans, instead of fighting Islamists, terrorists, American-Jew hating theocrats, and oil weapon wielding, nuclearizing nuts?
