Newtmax.com Regurgitated

Hatched by Dafydd

Just a brief update on our last post, Newtmax.com: Today marks the fourth straight day of Newsmax.com nakedly shilling for Newt Gingrich.

There are a few stories on today's Newsmax page that neither bash Romney nor slather praise on Gingrich (like an overly generous schmear on a bagel). Mirabile dictu! Nevertheless, without exception, every single story that relates to the primary either portrays Mitt as a dimwitted orc or worships at the feet of old Saint Newt.

I used to jape that Newsmax was the National Enquirer of conservative websites. I believe I must amend that: Newsmax has become the ThinkProgress of conservative websites.

It is also the second day in a row that CNN(*) has posted a hit piece on Newt disguised as 'News'.
I'm not sure, but I think CNN is bigger than Newsmax.

Bart Johnson:

Of course CNN is bigger than Newsmax. And it's also flamingly liberal... and we constantly complain that it and its left-liberal compadres are disgustingly biased in their news reporting.

I assume, since you yourself spotted the similarity, that you are equally disgusted at Newsmax's painfully obvious bias?

I will full-throatedly join you in condemning any other conservative news source that unilaterally attacks Gingrich as consistently as Newsmax champions him; but honestly, I haven't found any.

The conservative magazine or news websites I've seen run articles supporting each of the three serious candidates for the presidency, with (presumably) different contributers writing the stories.

Newsmax, however, appears to have a Policy.

So what exactly is the issue? One obscure site supports Newt. Why is this relevant? For that matter, why should I condemn it? Should I condemn every one of the primary voters who supported him as well, since they are about as influential as Newsmax?

Geez, how many sites did you have to go through before finding one, Newsmax, that was biased in favor of Newt?

Dude you seem angry that everyone isn't marching in lock step behind "Mr. Electability". The nerve of Newsmax not falling in line behind the latest sh*t sandwich served to us by the party establishment.
