Hmmm, if I thought angels actually looked like that, I would have led a far more pious life. At any rate, it was always pretty clear that this claim of rapture on May 21, 2011 were simply the ramblings of the insane leader of a millennial cult. Everyone knows its Dec. 21, 2012 when the world really ends.

Well, that at least has the advantage of being one of the cross-quarter days; or it would have, but for the fact that the solstice falls on the 22nd this year. (According to my calendar, the only unusual event found on May 21st, 2011, is Armed Forced Day.)
Actually, for a wide pie-piece of Americans, the end of the world (as we know it) will occur on January 20th, 2013.
But I feel fine.

Heh. Well said. Come to think of it, I am rather looking forward to the thought of listening to the wailing and gnashing of teeth on that cold January morn. Schadenfreude is such a guilty pleasure.
