The World Has Gone Mad part XXIII
Today, walking home from the gym, I had to dodge a car that intruded unpleasantly into the crosswalk.
It was a Ferrari, horsey logo and all: a Ferrari SUV.
Is it just me?

It certainly wasn't a real Ferrari, as they've never built an SUV. Of course, that doesn't stop some poseur from slapping the Prancing Horse on his Escalade.
Lamborghini, though, has done SUVs every now and then. Any chance it might have been this:

They are suppose to have a Ferrari SUV out or coming out. Ugly if you ask me...and amazing that anyone would buy one.

It comes out in concept form in 2010 according to what I can Google up. That still doesn't have Dafydd running into one in the flesh today.

Dafydd-
I once saw a “Porsche” SUV in Mexico that looked suspiciously like a Volkswagen.
At the time I thought the notion of a Porsche SUV was absolutely ludicrous. I still do.

A Porsche SUV really IS ludicrous. It is, however, sadly real.
Most likely what you saw was a pretender. (And no, that is not a new model name!)
