Don't Worry. Be Happy.

Is it just me?

Members of extremist groups have signed up as school bus drivers in the United States, counterterror officials said Friday, in a cautionary bulletin to police. An FBI spokesman said "parents and children have nothing to fear...."

The bulletin, parts of which were read to The Associated Press, did not say how often foreign extremists have sought to acquire licenses to drive school buses, or where....

It noted "recent suspicious activity" by foreigners who either drive school buses or are licensed to drive them, according to a counterterror official who read parts of the document to The Associated Press.

Foreigners under recent investigation include "some with ties to extremist groups" who have been able to "purchase buses and acquire licenses," the bulletin says.

But Homeland Security and the FBI "have no information indicating these individuals are involved in a terrorist plot against the homeland," it says.

Whew! Dodged that bullet. Fortunately, it turns out that these "foreign extremists" (which I believe is Newspeak for "known jihadis") aren't currently involved in "a terrorist plot against the homeland." That we know of. So let's just forget the whole thing and go back to sleep.

I can't be the only one who believes that the phrase "foreign extremist" is more or less defined as "a person in this country plotting some sort of extreme action against someone." How do we know it's not against the United States -- which is, after all, the "Great Satan?" (Israel is merely the "Little Satan.")

Just because he hasn't yet settled on an actual plan of terrorist attack -- assuming our intel is correct about even that much -- doesn't mean he's not positioning himself to have access to 30 or 40 American schoolkids at the drop of a turban, whenever he finally decides how best to use them.

If we strongly suspect that a person is a "foreign extremist," is there some constitutional reason we cannot bar him from any job that puts large numbers of Americans at great risk? Favorite occupations for known jihadis could include:

  • Flying a commercial airliner
  • Inspecting cargo at a port
  • Working in the infectious diseases ward at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
  • Working at an explosives factory
  • Driving a truck containing large quantities of nuclear waste
  • ...Or driving a bus full of school children.

At the very least, let's call in the potential employer, apprise him of some of what we suspect about this particular subject... and then remind the employer that, now that he knows the risk, if "anything happens," his company will be liable for any damages. That should cause the employer to reevaluate its hiring procedures.

I know it may be decried by Democrats as racial profiling; but it won't be decried loudly or for very long: I doubt there is any great groundswell of public sympathy for al-Qaeda-linked jihadis in America who are unable to gain employment as school bus drivers; so there's little the Democratic Party can do for this natural constituency of theirs.

Maybe they can pass a non-binding resolution.

Members of Islamist/jihadist extremist groups are suitable for employment where? Certainly not as schoolbus drivers, school janitors or teachers, but where instead? Should kill-the-infidel extremists even bag our groceries (in large, populated grocery stores)?

This is a tough issue, but on balance, I’d prefer to put myself or child in the hands of an IRA fanatic here in the States (obviously tho' not in the UK), than in those of a hate-America-and-there-are-no-innocent-Christians-and-Jews extremist. The record and Islamists’ statements of intent should count for something a lot.

If I were a terrorist, I would get a job driving a propane truck.

Humble me may be Low, Ignorant, Insane, and a swamp hermit; however, this makes perfect sense...even to what’s left of my remaining sane side. And, it fits perfectly with my theory that our enemy is using a “Three Pronged War Plan” (at LEAST) and/or a “Perfect War Plan” (of which i’ve mentioned more than once here), which consists of:

1) Guerrilla Warfare with a serious understanding of Terrorism tactics tossed in (perhaps “main ingredient” would be a better choice than tossed in). They use what they have perfectly. Their own civilians even (see the recent war between Israel and Hezbollah, for one example)...so to speak.

2) Propaganda to perfection. They use our MSM...their media...the entire world’s media, and it has worked well for them...especially since their ‘enemy’ (us...infidels...etc) has been divided so, not only America and the rest of the world, but have also divided America’s Democrat Party...so to speak of a perfect understanding of what ‘dividing’ is about during war.

3) The Enemy’s own Judicial System!!! As far as this humble Low and Ignorant Insane swamp hermit knows, this may be a first for conducting Warfare. This is why i keep mentioning “at LEAST” in this and other posts. ‘They’ are still working to perfect this one, and are getting very close to perfection. Yes, i am sounding confused, and i have been confused whilst trying to reduce their war plan to just “Three”. Having a “Three Pronged War Plan” is not that unusual; however, having four, five, or an infinite number of prongs in one’s War Plan usually leads to a defeat...so to speak of such a one getting a rather serious buttocks kicking, at the best.

Number “Three” (above) was ‘murder’ to write in the Dualistic form of the earthly English language. Sorry...

Now to my humble point...

Under estimating (or even over estimating) one’s enemy is easy to do. “Under” and “over” estimating could be prongs four and/or five, but not in this case. Dafydd, in this case you have under estimated the Enemy, and focused on the ‘enemy’ who support our Enemy...the Democratic Party. Personally, if i were President, ¾’s of America’s Congress would be arrested just for starters (the rest of America would shut up and follow, or be arrested). i am not President. Thusly, it is clear that America has no stomach for war, even in defense of its own survival. We can be attacked brutally (911 proved that), and America will rise up in arms...temporarily, anyway; however, the rest is history...

America is engaged in more than just one War/war...fact is, we have already lost the war, and are about to lose a War that will give Americans a new understanding about certain ‘Thangs. Heck, just look at America’s own “Right Wing” blogosphere...so to speak.

I have already racially profiled my daughter's future school bus driver. I will also be on that school bus as a volunteer on field trips. Our first line of defense is not our Vaterlandsicherheitsamt. It is parents, such as myself, who are very careful to whom we give our children and have enough teeth left to bite out the throat of anyone who might be a threat to them.
